This Imager ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application.
We collect the following types of information:
We use the collected information to:
When you apply a filter, your selected photo is securely transmitted to fal.ai — our AI image processing partner — solely to generate the filtered result. This transmission happens only when you explicitly request a filter to be applied. We store the original and processed images on our servers only as needed to power app features such as job history, viewing previous creations, sharing links, and account history.
You retain full ownership of your photos. We do not use your photos to identify you, build face recognition systems, sell your data, or track you across other apps or websites. Your photos are not used to train any AI models.
Some photos uploaded by users may contain faces. Imagur does not perform face recognition, does not identify individuals, does not create face templates or biometric identifiers, and does not use face data for authentication, advertising, tracking, or profiling.
If a photo containing a face is uploaded, the image may be processed by our AI partner (fal.ai) solely to apply the visual filter effect you requested. Face data is not separately extracted, stored, retained, shared, or sold by Imagur or fal.ai beyond what is necessary to generate the filter result.
You may delete your account or individual jobs at any time, which removes associated stored image files from our systems.
We share your data with the following third-party services only to the extent necessary to operate the app. Each third party is bound by their own privacy policy and is obligated to protect your data.
What is shared: When you tap to apply a filter, your selected photo is transmitted to fal.ai (fal.ai), a third-party AI image generation service.
Why it is shared: fal.ai processes your photo to apply the AI filter effect you requested and returns the generated result image to our servers. This is the core function of the app and only happens when you explicitly choose to apply a filter.
What fal.ai does with your data: fal.ai uses your photo solely to generate the requested filter output. Your photos are not retained by fal.ai for training AI models, advertising, or any purpose beyond producing the result. For full details, see fal.ai's Privacy Policy.
If you choose to sign in with Google or Apple, those services provide us with your name and email address to create your account. Your sign-in credentials are managed entirely by Google or Apple and are never stored by us. See Google's Privacy Policy and Apple's Privacy Policy.
If you grant notification permission, we use Firebase Cloud Messaging (a Google service) to send you push notifications about your filter results. Your device token is shared with Firebase solely to deliver these notifications. See Google's Privacy Policy.
Subscription purchases are processed through Apple's App Store. We use RevenueCat to manage and verify your subscription status. RevenueCat may receive your anonymized user ID and purchase data. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. Image transmissions to fal.ai and our servers are encrypted using HTTPS/TLS.
Our service is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.
